Lockness got out
to the Yankee Sat. the fog was thick but the Ocean was ok.
We had 35 ft. vis. The bottom temp. was 43 getting warmer.
Loads of Sea scallop's came up, also a bunch of nice size
Lobster's..Rich ( The Dradle ) Burger did his first salt
water dive with his new re breather no more King of the
Quarry for him...Will leave that for former mate Jamie...M 3
aka Marty shitsbank almost had to be air lifted of the boat
he was brutal attacked by a Sea Scallop, but after the panic
stopped we put a child's band-aid on it and he stopped
crying!!! Andy ( The Recan ) Frovotia came up with a nice
brass thing that wood look good in my garbage pail!! We also
had Han's and Franz on the boat Han's is the only diver I
have seen that shoots Scallop's with a spear gun, You really
have to have a steady hand for that!! Now on the way home my
Giant ( Big Dave ) apparently decided to show two of my
mates how to drink a new type of beer
so
by the time we got to the dock Abbot and Costello ( Pat
Roony and Jeff Panago ) were
heavily
medicated to say the least they could not figure how to tie
the boat up nor could they not stop repeating themselves'
over and over again and again the same story.... God I feel
bad for Susie Q....We called mini Rooney aka M4 ( Mike
shwaner) to take Abbot home Roomer has it he threw up all
over his lawn....This is great, dive season has officially
begun on the Lockness it time to get out the Video camera
it's going to get interesting....This is what North Eastern
diving is all about who's got it better then me!!!
The Legend!!!!!
John
has asked me to write last weeks r
05/23/09
While I am no legend, I
will try my best not to be a "A Jackass". On Saturday
5/23/09 we headed out to the infamous lady "The Oregon"
and to everyone's surprised we were actually on the
Oregon this time. The infamous About and Costello were
to set the hook. A nice Jacket came up from the deep and
I found a not so old cookie jar lid. It was the joke of
the day. Andy found an old Capt Ken drop weight, it was
nice to reminisce about Ken And Jean RIP. The seas were
a bit of a chop around 3'. The Ocean Temps were typical
around 44 at depth and 50 above 50'. The Viz was nice
25'-30'. There were an extreme amount of ling present on
the wreck as well as a few gigantic Black fish. A lot of
nice lobster came on board and I missed getting a
monster. It was so big I would have taken a photo and
released him. I as most of the divers did 2 dives as
opposed to one long one. The usual antics started and we
passed the time with great food and good laughs. A
special thanks to Big Dave, I am now an *official* Beer
snob. Until next time as always... Dive Safe!!!
