Who says history doesn't repeat itself...If you look on my web site at past dive reports you will read a report on May 6th 2006, about the Shoe... To make sense of this report you have to read the other one. So now that you have done that let me begin,  the Lockness went to the San Diego on Sat. with about twelve passengers, one is know as aka the "Shoe" we get to the wreck every body is suiting up to jump in.  I notice the  man called Shoe in his full gear, helmet with 50 or so lights on it, his pink tank ( garage sale score)  a full wet suit, and spear gun in hand, the only thing I notice is that he has his sneakers on...Yup you guessed it, he forgot his booty's ... That's right, this is how the legend began on that cold day on May 6th 2006 on the same wreck..I screamed out loud history is repeating itself and ran for the video camera! To my dismay the battery was dead, but the mental picture in  my mind will live forever...Like when man walked on the Moon, and the Berlin wall was knocked down, never in my wildest dreams would I think I would see history twice I am truly blessed. Now I am having flash backs of May 6th 2006 my mind is racing around so fast I can barely see straight  never in the history of mankind has this ever happened twice I could feel my heart racing!!!! Then like a wet slap in the face I here old sleepy, my part time mate Jamie Arkins who finally woke up and says to the man known as Shoe you can wear my boat shoes lime green by the way!!!! I could feel my knees buckle as all the blood drained from my head!!! Now the man known as shoe is wearing my X mate Jammie lime green boat shoes... By the  way that was the only thing Jamie my X mate did the whole day expect  for sleeping!!!! That's right now he is dead in my eyes!!!! Now my day is ruined and I know this rare event will never again happen in my life time...I was so close but yet so far away.... So in closing when you come on Lockness and need something go down stairs look for a fat sleeping, balding man and wake him up and he will take good care of you!!!!   The End    Capt. John
